Can a person 15 years of age and under fish the colorado river without a fishing license?

My kids are from california and are under 16. Are they required to have a license to fish the colorado river do they need the special use colorado river stamp too? Thanks!

Answer
Anyone 15 year old or younger does not reqire a fishing license. The youth can catch the full limit.

    They can fish without a license. 15 and under = free! But you will have to have that. Good luck and have fun.

    yes your kids can fish there and there are no requirements,age limit is 16 or older

    most states a license isn’t required if under 16 yrs. that is the case in california. when l lived in colorado a license for kids wasn’t needed but they were allowed to keep only a half limit of fish. of course, you could purchase a license for them and then they could keep full limits. you didn’t say where on the colorado you were so your best bet would be to get a regulation booklet from any sporting goods store or walmart or just check your local dfg website.
