are there any good baits for river fishing around london ecept minowws?

i want to catch 5-10 lb fish barbel and stuff would be good! any ideas…..Aaron.thanks…ive got 6 lb line and 4 lb line 4-6 ok? idears wehre to fish and any advice about fishing would be great! Aaron.Thanks….

I don’t know where to fish in London as I am in Manchester, but a good bait for Barbel is pork luncheon meat cut into small cubes and kept on the hook with a bit of matchstick. I caught a 7.5 pound one in the River Dane a few years ago. Beautiful fighting fish
