The 646-pound fish was weighed by Thai fisheries departments officials, said Zeb Hogan, the leader of an international project, which intends to locate and study the world’s largest freshwater fish species, according to Associated Press.
Hogan also cofirmed the catch as the heaviest fish ever reported in Thailand.

Biggest one I caught was a 42 pound channel cat. Used open face, fiber glass 7ft rod, and 8 pound test. Used freshwater clam as bait, caught it at Bugg’s Island Lake in Virginia.

Hi im going there soon and the biggest cat was never 2000lb lol. I saw a 209lb cat caught and it wasnt far from the record for the river at the time, the biggest weights are 200-300… 2000 is not even a funny comment and they have never reached anything like that stupid weight!
