Amago trout fishing regulations?

I would like to, at some point, like to go to Japan to go Amago trout fishing. problem is I have little to no knowledge to the regulations on Amago trout fishing… the only thing i know is that they are a threatened species, and you should respect their habitats… can anyone fill in the blanks in my knowledge?
I would like to know the fishing season of the Amago trout and if it is LEGAL to take live specimens back to america… Please answer!

You would have to get in touch with Japans D.N.R and then contact your local D.N.R about export/ import issues, mostly due to parasitic organisms. Then there is always the department concerning importation.
You might be best off contacting someone who already imports fish from Japan such as a Koi merchant.
As for fishing fo them, contact Japanese D.N.R.

How to repel fishing spiders from entering my basement?

They are like 3.5 inches around and we have only seen two, maybe just wondering in for spring, but cant have that so how do you repel fishing spiders?

I’m assuming your basement is really wet? Make sure that you keep it as dry as possiblebecause fishing spiders like water, and you can also get sprays that you can spray around your house that can keep spiders away. I use the sprays in the summer and they work well, but I don’t know how well they would work on fishing spiders. It’s worth a try though.

ahhaah i forgot to mention i kno spots too lol aahh i just want to know more. so tell me and ill tell you mine

You know this gets asked a lot and the answer is nearly always the same if we told you then they wouldn’t be secret any more would they? Your best bet is to study the charts for the lakes, bays and coast. Look for structure that fish hang out at, watch where other fisherman are catching fish and pay attention to when and where the fish and game stocks fish.

Good luck!

I was wanting to try out fly fishing; my uncle and cousin have done it all their life. I go regular bass fishing all the time and wanted to try something new. I was hoping to not go over $100 looking for a good pole… Is this possible? I went to walmart and they don’t even sell fly fishing rods, lol….. Any fly fishers out there? I already made a bunch of flies for some fish in my area.

. Did some checking Cabela’s Cahill Fly Rod and Reel Outfit is on sale now online. Rod and reel for $49. Cant beat that as far as i know.

I am not a good fisher, I have only gone about 4 times and I never remember catching many fish. I am going pond fishing tomorrow and I just wanted some good tips that will help me get more fish. I don’t plan on doing anything advanced and I don’t plan on being in a boat. I just wanted information like different techniques for different fish, how to unhook certain fish, ect.

Nightcrawler and a bobber is a sure bet anywhere.

Bring some corn as well. Try the corn if the nighcrawlers don’t work.

Where are good bank/pier fishing spots in Galveston Bay?

My husband and I want to go fishing on the bay, but we don’t know of any good spots that don’t require a boat or guide. Anyone have suggestions?

Google Tiki Island, 61st St Pier or you could fish right off East or West Beach, the jetties there along the wall are good too. Try fresh shrimp under a popping cork
