yes i know how to make tools when in a survival situation and i think its a good trap and all but i still think when ur out there in a live or death situation that there are other ways of trapping food that are alot more easy so you can save what little energy you have to worry about other things like finding or making a shelter

ok not everyone has a axe on hiking trips and who would want to use that much energy spliting a log when a figure 4 death trap does the same or even using a snare trap out of ur shoe lace now thats survival and a pop can come on just tie it to a long stick lol

we made traps like that on survival camp at scouts and we used a mars bar as bait and we found 2 squrrils dead in one trap

look at the place …
look at the place he’s in. he’s living the dream for sure. I can’t wait til I’m older and can travel and go hiking for a few days on my own. I’ll make sure to practice and learn the bushcraft skills before I go so I don’t end up making a tit of myself and freezing/starving.

Well if you see food as a target (what it really is) cause you cant live without- if you then give it a female name, its like saying hey i cant live without her. If a female hunter call her targets male names then we are where we should be. The other way around make us look like a gay. So all in all, that will give your last sentence meaning, namely we are living together and are united in the grander scheme of things.

No, if you’re a man items of endearement or items that help you are female i.e. talking about his knife “she’s a beaut”, Full Metal Jacket – the marines had to give their rifles female names. Items of targets or rivalry are male, i guess when i guy does that it accidently gives away the guys respect for the creature or target etc. I guess it reflects the fact that all men are rivals individually: food, sex,status. But they are work together and are united in the grander scheme of things.

ahaha me too! ..been studying crossbows this week! i want one before they get banned too!! i’m thinking of a recurve as it’s simpler to repair for a SHTF survival situation..
