where is the best bass fishing spots in florida around tampa valrico and brandon?

Posted by : admin

i am looking for some bass fishing spots in florida mostly around the tampa valrico brandon area and i also want to know that kinde of lure i should for bass

Lake Isotokpoga. Lake Toho. Kissimmee chain of Lakes. Crooked Lake. Any St. Johns River Basin lakes.

All of these are good places "nearby". However, if you want a chance at a "lunker" take a drive to Stickmarsh or Farm 13.

Lurewise: Paddle-tailed 7" worms in Motoroil, Red-Shad/Green glitter, Black, Black/Blue Flake, Junebug. OR Berkley Powerworms in the afore-mentioned colors.

Pull gold-bladed spinnerbaits in various OZ through maidencane and Hydrilla.

Flip offshore structure with Jigs.

Rip suspending Rapalas around channel drops and structure.

Rattle traps for "speed" fishing.

Find "current" & forage, and you will find fish.
Good luck!

Try Medard Park on Turkey creek rd , it has a big lake . Also try Dover Park on MLK road in Dover . I caught my biggest FL bass there over 10 lbs. I like a culprit worm or a senko rigged wacky style

The best bait is live shiners you can get them at a bait shop on hwy 60 and turkey creek rd or cast net them

Also on Dover Road there are some lakes on the right side after you turn off Hwy 60 that have a few bass
