Where are some good fishing spots in California?
For my Husband’s birthday we want to go fishing some where along the central coast of California. And we’ve already been to Goleta Beach and Point Mugu, so it be nice to try some place new.
Well, depending on a few factors, the answer may change dramatically.
What type of fishing do you want to do, salt or freshwater? From your question, I’m going to guess salt. Virg’s Landing and other commercial outlets in Morro Bay area are good choices. If you want to fish from shore, the majority of the Central Coast is decent fishing area. For freshwater, check this DFG pamphlet for ideas. http://www.dfg.ca.gov/oceo/fishcity/docs/ccr.pdf
When is your husband’s birthday? Depending on the time of year that you’ll be looking to go fishing, may determine where a good fishing spot would be.
