What are some good saltwater fishing spots on Long Island for an angler?

Where can an angler do some fishing off of the Long Island shores without too much of a hassle? Looking to catch Bass and Blues. Any additional info would be helpful. I have my fishing license. Looking to stay in Nassau County or western Suffolk.
