My dad is going to Louisiana on a fishing trip on september 1st and he needs a fishing report?
but i cant find one anywhere. they’ll be fishing from the shore so it doesnt need to be a deep sea report. Venice Louisiana on the mississippi river
The best thing for him to do is to watch the weather report and tide table when the time comes near. I have fished Venice down to Cypremort Point extensively for about 30 years. September means Bull Reds for my family down there, but the weather decides when the reds start running the coastlines. I currently guide in the Pacific Northwest BC, but my home is Bayou Vista La.

This will give updates and even tide reports on any area in Louisiana. Since they are fishing from the bank I would suggest they run to grand isle which has the best surf fishing around this time of year. They can even hook up on some big bull reds from the bank there by the bridge.

I live in Louisiana on the coast and fish all I can but unless you fish from the bank also it is hard to give a true report as almost everyone fishes out of boats.
