I plan on flying with my pet fish but, I need to know if airport security has any regulations.?

Posted by : admin

I know that airports are pretty picky when it comes to the amount of liquid you can bring. However, if you see a fish swimming in a liquid then it’s probably not the kind used to make bombs. Is this logic applied or am I going to have to respect the 3 ounce rule?
Thanks everyone for the answers. Turns out I will be ok. A new regulation says that as long as the fish is swimming and happy i will be able to take my fish. Though, my dad is sending me a confirmation # (or something like that) to prove that he has talked with the higher ups of TSA and gotten the ok

I will have to smuggle him on my first flight cause they don’t take kindly to fish but, what the flight attendants don’t know can’t hurt em. however, Alaska Airlines allows for tropical fish.
So yay!
Oh and the reason why the fish has to be alive is because it proves that the water isn’t some deadly acid/chemical that one would use in bombs.

You have to respect the 3 ounce rule… TSA’s rules aren’t very smart. Read the attached story about a girl that smuggled her fish through security after fighting with them.
I also included the TSA rules of today.
