I like flouro to mono, but Captain Jeff uses 30 to 40lb flouro to 12 – 15lb braid. No swivels. Its all about the knots. I like Live Bait hooks, hes using circles mostly.

richy rich fly rod snobs, i’ve never seen anybody get snooks like the one @ 3:20 on a fly rod..thats probably the most beautiful fish i’ve seen, besides the 40-50 pounders around the matlacha bridge until all the idiots come & scare them & the tarpon & cobia off with cast nets and other commotion..1 day or night nobody else will be down there & i’m gonna get me one or two of them big snooks, you gotta see these lunkers to believe it, they’re so big they look like cobia until you see their sides

Both. That bucket on the beach is just to gather them up, then we put them in a proper well. Tarpon are opportunistic , so they eat a dead one, and they like heads.
