what is the best bait to use when people go fishing on lakes?
well Im going to go to a lake but I dont know what kind of bait to use. Or what kind of bait to use to catch minnows
To catch minnows, use small hooks with bread on them. If you are going to a lake for just general fishing… just use night crawlers. These worms will catch pretty much anything, so try em out. You can also use corn (for trout, landlocked salmon, catfish) or hot dogs (for catfish or any other bottom feeders). I would suggest mainly just worms and corn for a beginner. Good luck out there.

idk what lake ur going fishing in but i usually use either a plastic worm or plastic lizard…also top water works good if its smooth and even better in the morning for top water i use either a zierra spook, horny toad, or a plug……if the lake has a lot of hydrilla or weeds i would go with the plastic worm or spinner bait
