My husband and I are looking for fishing lakes within 60 miles of St. Louis, MO?

Posted by : admin

We prefer a place where you can rent a boat or nice areas around the lake where you can fish.

In Missouri there is also Creve Coeur. Not sure if boat rentals are now available.

And as mentioned Busch Wildlife. Can rent Jon boats there. Need your own electric trolling motor. But very nice place and close.

Farther away is a nice lake. Mark Twain. I-70W. 19N –follow signs. Excellent fishing. Boat rentals

Illinois there is a small lake at Pontoon Beach. No boat rentals now. And farther east is Caryle Lake.

Here are two links you can view.

    Try these -
    Busch Wildlife
Lone Elk Park (catch and release)
    Suson County Park

You might also want to try looking up Missouri Conservation Department. There is a place on their website that will tell you about all the local lakes to fish. You might also consider checking with a tackle store. They can usually direct you to good fishing lakes.

Tried Forest Park???? Maintenance keeps the banks well mowed, and sometimes fishing is very good.
