@Ijk94 steelhead …
@Ijk94 steelhead and rainbow trout are the same species. rainbows are fresh water only while steelhead are anadromous, meaning that they spend most of their life in the sea but return to fresh water to spawn.

and yes they …
and yes they usually return to sea after they have spawned. BUT, the point is 1)Steelhead and Rainbow Trout ARE the same thing (for all practical purposes of this debate) 2) Steelhead ARE spawners, and 3)youmanwhore should really educate himself on the species that he is arguing about.

‘Bows usually spend …
‘Bows usually spend the first 1-3 years of life in their natal stream, migrate to sea and live there for 2-4 years, and once the have matured into “steelhead” they spawn in the stream they were born in.

@lh141, yeah… …
@lh141, yeah… steelhead return to the sea/lake AFTER they spawn, which is why i said they are spawners. Why would a steelhead, (which is a large rainbow trout, there is no question about that youmanwhore) be returning to the sea after swimming upstream? Its not just takin a trip miles upstream for the of it, its to SPAWN!!

@youmanwhore those …

@trekkerpsr uhh no …
@trekkerpsr uhh no thats wrong rainbow trout and steelhead are genetically the same but the difference is steelhead go to the ocean. its got nothing to do with steelhead being spawners.
