Issue to align the fishing guide straight position along the blank rod?

Posted by : admin

Hi,

Anyone have idea to align fews fishing guide at the fishing rod. Any recommed… …? I have to repair my damage fishing rods. Thanks!

hold it in place with a thin strip of masking tape while you sight down from the reel seat. move it as necessary.

but if you are replacing guides, there may be yet enough of the old finish where the original guide was to line it up.

The best way to do it is to use a tube of chap stick. The chap stick will hold the guide in place temporarily while you align it. Stick it on the rod using chap stick and look through the guides from bottom to top to see if it is aligned right. You can move it easily enough if it’s not aligned. If the guide is too heavy to hold with chap stick try a tube of school paste.
