one day two people for a good price fresh water or saltwater and also looking for good fishing

any help would be helpful please
or any states that border oklahoma
also is fly fishing good inthe summer , and what abouts beavers bend in oklahoma is the fishing good there

Lake Texoma would be a good choice for you. It borders Texas and Oklahoma. But most of the lake is in Oklahoma.

A special license that covers both states on Texoma. Good striper fishing. Lots of charter boats and guides on Texoma, but be careful because some guides will call it a day when you get your limit and your day can be over pretty fast if they put you on a school of stripers right away. If you want a day of catch and release fishing you need to work that out with the guide. There are lots of guides on Texoma. Here are a few of them:

Marc Thompson – 903-868-2761 or 903-786-4311

Dale Church – 903-523-4369
Capt. Cal’s – 1-888-8-TEXOMA Lakeside Lodge
Chuck Pilant – 903-892-6875
Mike Anderson of FishHawk Guide Service – 972-680-FISH
Mike Beeson of Silver Dollar Guide Service: 903-465-5262
Bob Sharp of Sparky’s Guide Service 940-665-8661
Morgan’s Guide Service – 972-709-4716
Gary Stewart – 903-786-9114
Charlie Freeman – 903-786-2311
Bennie Randles – 903-786-2237
Bill Cashin – 903-786-8316 or cashin@wans.net or www.teamgrady.com

I also have a list of guides for Lake Fork if you are interested.

For Broken Bow, OK try Three Rivers Fly Shop 580-494-6115 or www.threeriversflyshop.com

The trout fishing on the Mountain Fork River that flows from Broken Bow Reservoir in Eastern Oklahoma is quite good. You will enjoy a fishing trip there.

Good luck and good fishing – 73 from the Fisherman

I live near Lake Ray Roberts, and it’s a good fishing lake. Crappie, Sandies, Largemouth, Catfish. There are some local guides, I know. Google "Ray Roberts Fishing Guide" and you should find some!

    Good fishing to you!

I have had a pretty good saltwater trip with Captain Eddy out of Freeport, for snapper. I had my limit inside of an hour at the first spot, and after that it was just bigger and better fish. We had a ling or two, some triggerfish, and the always-problematic eel appearance. I had vacuum-sealed snapper fillets in my freezer for months, even giving them away every chance I got!

His larger boat, The Big E, was my choice. The tickets were more expensive, but that thing can MOVE outbound. The trip out was considerably shorter than with other charters I’ve used – more time to fish, less time waiting. The deckhands were extremely polite and kept the baitwells full, without being stingy with the mackerel. Bring along an extra thirty or forty bucks, and you will have your very own deckhand waiting on you hand and foot the entire trip. They also do longer sporting runs, and the boat has every luxury you might expect in the city: movie gallery for the kids, full kitchen for longer trips, and quite a nice upper deck with barbecue pits welded in for fresh seafood on the go. I highly recommend using this boat if you go with Underwater Expeditions, it is top-of-the-line for speed and comfort. You will be fishing with many other people, though, this is not a private charter for two or three. Still, I had a great time with this guy, so consider it if you are heading that way!

EDIT – The previous answerer knows Lake Texoma well, and he is right: it can’t be beaten for huge hybrid stripers near OK or TX. I have been out there once, and I have considered going again every year since. If I could remember my guide, I would tell you his name…no luck in the memory department, though. In my experience, the fish were larger on the Texas side…hah.
