Sea and river fishing in Bournemouth this June, where’s best for bass?

Staying in Bournemouth mid-june 08, where is the best coast fishing? Prefer bass, but happy to catch most things. I don’t have a boat, just spinning and beach-casting rods. Also, is there any good river fishing to be had within a 30 mile radius of Bournemouth? Many thanks, and tight lines

Try the pier, I always had sport with mackerel, garfish, bass etc. when I went there. Sand eels or lures imitating them are top bait!

If I buy a fishing liscence at a lake in kansas, is it good for all the lakes or just that one?

Pretty much in the title. I have a liscence to fish, but I don’t know whether or not I can fish at my local lake because I bought it at a different lake.

Entire state – however some lakes also sell a "permit" needed in addition to the State fishing license. Seen it in many states – so keep that in mind when you plan on fishing somewhere – that it’s not just a fishing license – that it may be a lake use or fishing permit that some lakes require….

fly fishing tournaments .?

what are some good, high money prized trout, salmon, or steelhead fly fishing tournaments in the US. or where is a good place to find some

The only one I’m vaguely familiar with is the One Fly Tournament I believe held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It’s a platform for newly designed fly to compete head to head in a multi day event. The winning fly is showcased in all the tying magazines and the tier usually is immortalized.

Nova Scotia (Atlantic Canada) fishing trips?

I am moving to Italy in January, and i would love to actually experience atlantic fishing. Everytime i go over there (italy) they always tell me … "bla bla bla, you find the best/freshest fish here" … must be some complex or something. I know Canada, and Northeastern US, can kick the shit out of Italy when it comes to ‘best and freshest fish’ … i was just wondering if there were tours or trips offered for everyday people such as myself (deep sea fishing, fly fishing, …) in Atlantic Canada? or even Northeastern US?
Can anyone help?

There are a lot of deep sea fishing tours out of PEI, especially the north shore like North Rustico but relatively far fewer out of Nova Scotia ports. But there is one that I’ve been wanting to try (and haven’t yet) out of Halifax. They even catch shark. Check out their web site at http://www.bluesharkcharters.com/Fishing.htm

The NS boat tours tend to be more sightseeing oriented than fishing. Lots of whales, seals, and birds on their tours – which are really nice. Some guarantee that you will find whales. One I was on had whales swim right under the boat.

Anyone have idea to align fews fishing guide at the fishing rod. Any recommed… …? I have to repair my damage fishing rods. Thanks!

hold it in place with a thin strip of masking tape while you sight down from the reel seat. move it as necessary.
but if you are replacing guides, there may be yet enough of the old finish where the original guide was to line it up.

what is the truth? will it reduce or raise your anxiety?

Well, Fish Oil doesn’t directly help with stress, but it does help with brain health and cardiovascular health among other things. I suppose if you can breathe easier, it could help with stress… and helping brain chemicals can help calm people down. I haven’t seen any reports that raising anxiety is common with Fish Oil, but some people may stress out if they can taste fish on their breath when they need fresh breath, I suppose.

If you are worried about stress, there are some natural products for stress and anxiety. Some of the most popular are GABA, L-Theanine, Rhodiola Rosea, 5-HTP, and L-Tryptophan.
Also, cutting caffeine and sugar will help, but doing some moderate exercise (walking, jogging, etc) can help quite a bit as well. Good luck and I hope I helped!

How much will a deep sea fishing trip cost?

I’m planning a trip off the Florida coast for a total of six people, and I am wondering a rough total for the fishing. As I said, six people, most likely in the Fort Myers area, and it will be in mid December. Also, I think bottom fishing for Grouper is the plan. Thanks in advance.

$800-$1000 depending on how prestigious the company you are going with and for how long the trip will be.

We did deep sea fishing trips in Kona, Hawaii and Costa Rica… For 8 people it was around $2000 for a couple hours so… I’m guessing staying in Florida is mostly likely half that

Somewhere near Tacoma, Lacy, Olympia, or Seattle. It needs to be a place that can be fished all year round. Im a begginer so i dont know much about fly fishing. And it needs to be a place that has fish like rainbow trout.
