The Wigwam Resort pulls in a few nice Walleye, Sauger and Perch on otherwise a slower day on Lake of the Woods. The Wigwam Fisherman discusses some of the hot lures of the day while fishing just off the reefs. There were a few big marks that came through the Vexilar, but no bites. The ones that did bite had some bugs in them that are currently hatching from the mud bottom below.

Then it was some thousand fish in Brazil (not sure about the reported date either.
Then it was another state in the East Coast reported of fish dying (dont know date)
Then there was Louisiana (not sure about date reported)
And today there was a report of more than 100 birds found dead near a highway in California.

Does anybody know the reported date of each event and are there any other events that are left out?

Although we plan to be fishing late night, reports from any day are welcome! If it’s good during the day, we might switch plans and head out earlier :)

i was there a couple of weeks ago. Went on Saturday night the sea was calm as could be. We were using squid and mackerel. The squid got NOTHING. we got a few bites on the mackerel. pretty much though it was just fun to get out of the house. After 4 hours with 6 poles in the water we caught 1 spider crab thrown back. 1 skate thrown back 1 halibut too small thrown back and two small perch thrown back. we fished from around 6pm to 1130 pm off the back end of the pier behind Ruby’s.

I think "meat" means live bait: leeches,minnows,crawlers,etc. Is this correct?

"Meat" is any sort of natural bait — it could be live, dead, or cut bait (like a piece of fish or something.) This is opposed to artificial lures or flies.

I normally take fishing reports with a grain of salt. It’s like one of those things where a person tells you, " man, you should’ve been here yesterday, the fishing was on fire!" Well, fishing reports are pretty much the same. Unless you have a real time report ( someone actually fishing and then calls you on the cell phone or a live radio update) a regular report isn’t much help except to tell ya what’s in the water that month. Most regular reports are days, weeks or even a month old. What good is that? Some people get all hyped up and forget when the report was made. They get to the spot only to realize they should have been there yesterday, when the fishing was hot. ; ) ~good luck catchin’
