You would have to get in touch with Japans D.N.R and then contact your local D.N.R about export/ import issues, mostly due to parasitic organisms. Then there is always the department concerning importation.
You might be best off contacting someone who already imports fish from Japan such as a Koi merchant.
As for fishing fo them, contact Japanese D.N.R.

I would like to, at some point, like to go to Japan to go Amago trout fishing. problem is I have little to no knowledge to the regulations on Amago trout fishing… the only thing i know is that they are a threatened species, and you should respect their habitats… can anyone fill in the blanks in my knowledge?
I would like to know the fishing season of the Amago trout and if it is LEGAL to take live specimens back to america… Please answer!

I can’t find in the regulations how manyand what size fish I can keep fishing in the ocean from shore.. Anyone have any info?

In the CA Ocean 2010-2011 sport fishing regulations book, look at pages 8-20 and 37-57 (keywords: daily bag limit & min size limit).

What are the regulations regarding bringing betta fish from US to Canada?

I live in Canada and recently lost my two betta fish. I now have an empty 10 gallon and want to get a new one. I was looking into some fin varieties that I can’t find in Canada (halfmoon, double-tail, etc) and know that the Petco in Bellingham might have some. Are there any specific regulations that could prohibit me from taking a day trip to Petco, and then bringing a fish back into Canada?

In general, importations of ornamental aquatic organisms, especially tropical species held in hobby aquaria, are considered to pose a negligible risk of spreading diseases to local species. Thus, Canada, like many other countries, does not require special permits for the importation of aquatic organisms for the aquarium hobbyist. There are, however, some exceptions related to other risks posed to aquatic resources and habitat.

spear fishing in Tanzania? plus rules and regulations?

I’m going on a mission trip with my church this summer to Tanzania, and there is a day when I’m going to the beach. I wanna bring my spear fishing pole, but I’m not sure it will make it past security/customs and I don’t know what the regulations in the country are. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me this information, or where I could find it.

Im extremely new to fishing, but am really looking forward to getting into this new world.
Has anyone ever gone fishing there? If so any tips on what to use?

Ive emailed the people at the ranch but they told me jsut to look on ca fishing regulations. So they are useless.

That’s on the Russian River you will find trout, salmon maybe a shad. Fish it like you would for trout anywhere else use floating baits and drift them with the currents. Fly fishing is very popular along the stretch. So is float tubing. They have a pond there it used to be stocked with catfish.

The first thing you need is a fishing liscence. Get it at a bait shop. You will also need life jackets. When you buy your liscence, ask about any regulations for fishing and where. The bait shop will know all of the rules.

Hello, I’m wondering what’s todays fish size limits and the Redondo Beach pier fishing rules since I’m very new and going tonight. I already know that you don’t need a fishing license at the pier for crabbing and fishing, but are there any special rules or things I should watch out for besides where I fish, how I fish, and when I fish? Thanks

Honestly don’t think this link will give ya’ the answers your wantin’ but, be about all I could find ie., FAQ regardin’ the piers facilities, fishing areas, do’s and don’ts etc.. If ya’ haven’t headed out yet, might run through them ta’ see if any are relevant? Ha’, am quite sure the "Can I have a wedding on the pier", question won’t be one of your concerns <);-3
